About Mia Bella
Our 150-year-old building has been around since the first Feast of the Assumption in Cleveland and we have kept many of the original architectural details including the incredible ceiling and exposed-brick walls. At the same time, we installed full-length windows along the front of our restaurant, updated the floors and chandeliers and installed a beautiful 16-seat bar. We also have a European-style seasonal patio offering picture-perfect people watching.
Name of restaurant
In Italian, Mia Bella means “My Bella” or “My Beauty.” The family’s grand-daughter is named Isabell. Ever since she was small, though, they have always called her “Bella.” When they were naming their restaurant, it was natural to name it after her.
Everyone in the Mia Bella family has been in the restaurant business for at least ten years in every capacity imaginable – except as owners. In 2009, they decided to take the leap and open their own restaurant, using everything they had learned.
Every day, guests will see three generations of our family in our restaurant, from grandparents all the way down to Bella herself, walking around and making sure everything is up to her high expectations.
